Keto Marinara Sauce

Absolutely delicious marinara sauce to use on your pizzas or zucchini pasta dishes. A low-carb tomato/marinara sauce is essential in every kitchen. Whether you are making a keto pizza or a zucchini pasta dish, an awesome sauce is needed. So try our keto marinara sauce or as we call it Red Keto Sauce.

 

Ingredients
  • 400 grams Tomatoes (either fresh, purred or canned)
  • 50 grams Diced Red Onion
  • 5 grams Chopped Garlic
  • 2 tbsp Bacon Fat or Olive Oil
  • 1 tbsp Butter
  • 5 grams Fresh or Dried Oregano
  •  Chilli Flakes (to taste)
  •  a handful of freshly chopped basil

Instructions

  1. Heat the bacon fat in a saucepan
  2. Add the chopped onion, season with salt and fry till translucent
  3. Add in the chopped garlic and chilly flakes and cook till golden brown
  4. Add in your tomatoes and season with salt and pepper.
  5. Cover and cook for 10-12 minutes till the oil separates from the tomatoes
  6. Add the fresh oregano and basil and cook for a further 2-3 minutes
  7. Finish with a tablespoon of butter
  8. Use on pizzas and pasta dishes.
