Chivda though it is a diwali snack, it is an all time favourite. It has got a good shelf life. It is a crispy snack made by roasting the poha and adding a few spices and nuts. It can be a good tea time snack too. This is a very quick and easy recipe.

Ingredients:

• 34 cups Poha

• 2 tbsp Oil

• 4 Green chilies

• Curry leaves

• Raw peanuts

• Turmeric powder

• Salt to taste

Method:

Heat oil in a pan.

Add green chillies and curry leaves. Fry for a minute.

Add peanuts and again fry for a minute.

When peanuts begin to turn reddish, add turmeric powder & salt. Mix well.

Add poha.

Lower the heat while adding pohe and mix well.

Roast the chivda on low heat for about 4-5 minutes.

Turn off the heat. Mix well again.

Poha chivda is already.

When chivda cools down completely, store it in an airtight container or zip lock bag. • It has got a shelf life of 3-4 weeks.
