Turn Any Dessert into Molten Treats with Lava Cubes

Turn any of your sweet treats with these DIY lava cubes. Want these in your chocolate chip cookies? No problem! Check out the recipe and full instructions below along with the video.

Ingredients:

1 large chocolate bar, depending on preference
2 tablespoons heavy cream

Preparation:

Break up the bar and place it in a liquid measuring cup, topping with the heavy cream. Microwave the chocolate on high for one minute and then stir the ganache.
The mixture should feel slightly thick, like melted chocolate. If it’s too soupy, add a little more chocolate, if it’s too thick, add a little more heavy cream.
Pour the ganache into the ice cube tray and refrigerate until completely solid, about 1 hour.
Once the cubes are set, you can add them to any dessert to make a molten core, we recommend the following combinations:
Add a Cookies and Cream cube to red velvet cake mix for a lava cake

Add a Reese’s cube to cookie dough for a peanut butter chocolate cookie

Add a Milky Way cube to coffee to make a Milky Way Mocha

Add a Snickers cubes to a tray of brownies to make Loaded Snickers Brownies
